Terms of Use
These terms govern the use of the Sjokos service during the pilot period.
Last updated: June 11, 2026
Sjokos is in a pilot phase, and this page applies to the pilot. It will be updated before commercial launch. If you have questions, contact us at brage.refbye@gmail.com.
About the service
Sjokos is a visual planning and progression tool where adults create daily plans, goals, tasks and rewards, and children earn and redeem Sjokos. The service is in a pilot phase and is provided by Jonah Wiecek. Before commercial launch, a company will be established as the contracting party and these terms will be updated.
Accounts and responsibility
Accounts are created by adults (18+). The adult is responsible for the child profiles they create, for any required consents, and for how the service is used with the child. Institutional accounts are administered by the institution, which is responsible for its staff's use.
Price during the pilot
The service is free during the pilot period. When the pilot ends, payment will not be introduced without clear notice, and only if you actively choose to continue with a subscription – you will never be moved onto a paid plan automatically.
Acceptable use
The service must be used in line with its purpose: positive reinforcement and safe structure for children and youth. You must not use the service in ways that are unlawful, harmful to children, or that attempt to circumvent the service's security or access controls.
Sjokos have no monetary value
Sjokos in the app are not money, have no monetary value and cannot be exchanged for money or transferred out of the service. Rewards are agreed and delivered by the adults around the child, not by Sjokos.
Privacy
The processing of personal data is described in the privacy policy, which forms part of this agreement.
Limitation of liability
The service is provided as is. We work for stable operations but cannot guarantee that the service is always available or error-free. Our total liability is limited to what you have paid for the service in the last twelve months, to the extent permitted by law.
Changes and termination
We may change these terms with at least 30 days' notice. We may close accounts that violate the terms. You may close your account and request deletion of your data at any time.
Governing law
This agreement is governed by Norwegian law. Disputes will first be sought resolved amicably, otherwise before the ordinary Norwegian courts.
