For child welfare
Make goals and participation visible
Bring plans, motivation and goals together in a structure children and youth help define.
Goals as part of everyday life
Goals and subgoals become visible to the young person and can be tied to concrete content and activities in everyday life. That makes it clearer what they are working toward, and how what happens day to day connects to the goals.
Many chances to succeed
Young people get several chances through the day to earn Sjokos in connection with the goals they are working toward. That leaves room for positive reinforcement along the way, and lets the follow-up pay more attention to effort, mastery and progress.
Participation made visible
Sjokos makes the young person's real choices during the day visible, while the adults still set the boundaries. That can be choices between activities or other content in the plan and tasks; the young person can put forward wishes through the calendar, and have a say in what their Sjokos are spent on.
Coherent follow-up
Bring plans, goals, tasks and motivation together in one place that both the young person and the adults can reach. That makes it easier to follow the same approach across staff and shift changes, and gives the young person a better overview of both their everyday life and their development.
